Vintage Pharmaceutical Ads

What fascinates me about the history of pharmaceuticals is the development of psychoactive drugs in the 50s and 60s; a veritable revolution, but the drugs over time proved to be dangerous, addictive and having horrible side effects (think tardive dyskinesia). A lot of the medicines proved fatal in even small overdoses, and are used for this purpose today, in capital punishment and euthanasia.
